Welcome to Alexandra Mayleigh Designs, where dreams become exquisite reality under the skilled hands of Ellie-Jo. A bridal maestro, Ellie-Jo's journey began at Georgina Scott Bridal in 2019, mastering the art of dress alterations. Her eye for detail and passion for perfection propelled her to excellence, making her a sought-after expert.

Eager to expand her horizons, Ellie-Jo pursued a Fashion Design degree at Birmingham City University, graduating with honours in 2020. Armed with newfound knowledge, she returned to the Black Country to establish her bespoke alterations and manufacturing studio.

In our Dudley studio, Ellie-Jo's hands-on approach ensures each gown receives meticulous attention. Her commitment to excellence, coupled with a degree in Fashion Design, guarantees flawlessly fitted dresses that embody your unique style.

How long before my wedding should I book my first appointment?

When thinking about having a dress made or altered, please plan ahead to get the best experience possible. We would hate for you to feel rushed during the process of your chosen service. It is important to allow enough time to complete the work you are asking for to the highest possible standard. Please allow 12 months for a bespoke garment and 12 weeks for alterations.
Is there anything I should bring to my appointments?

Please remember to bring the correct footwear and underwear for every appointment. This is vital for the fit of your dress and should not be changed during any point of your dress process. Your shoes define the length of the dress and your underwear defines your figure and shape of the dress. Shapewear can change the appearance and fit of your dress so please bare this in mind.
How many bridal appointments will there be and how long are they?

All one to one appointments are approximately 1 hour 30 minutes max for bridal alterations and 2 hours max for bespoke bridal pieces, unless stated otherwise, so please arrive on time to make the most out of your time with us. How many appointments you need will depend on the amount of work required. For alterations, please allow 3-5 appointments and for bespoke bookings please allow 6-8 appointments.

We are with you every step of the way through your dress journey, whether that be altering your dress to perfection or designing and making it from scratch! We work around the clock to make you feel a million dollars in your wedding dress on your dream day. Personal and friendly one to one appointments are a must and that's exactly what we offer.
